Wound up in Wexford

Impulse purchase

A "bargain" in Aldi yesterday.  One of several purchases we hadn't realised we needed!  Though we had vaguely considered similar items, this one jumped into our trolley!

Early call from Sean "geothermal" - did we still want our solar water heating servicing, and if so, could he come in an hour or so?  Yes and yes.  Though that was very definitely an "Irish" hour!

Then the chap who was coming to look at W's workshop to insulate it also arrived early.

So the workshop work is organised, and will be done in the next couple of weeks.  And then, whilst waiting for Sean, W constructed some shelving, many of the pieces of which were in the delayed delivery from our removal company, and I mowed the last bits of the grass around the newly planted trees.

Later we put together the chimenea - we've had a third consecutive day of good weather - if this continues we may be out enjoying the evening very soon!

Sean has emptied the solar heating panels of the air and "gunge" so that is now functioning.  But his attempt to sort out our oddly wired immersion heater revealed why it was oddly wired - in the process flipping the main trip switch and cutting off our Internet for a while!  More work needed there!

Sean doesn't seem to have a desire to get home at a reasonable time.  He was here until very late last time, and again today - we were just starting on our baked potato dinner at 1930 when he finally gave up trying to sort our immersion heating!
