The Lozarithm Lens

The Woodland Garden (Friday 15th April 2022)

I spent my photography time today concentrated on bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) in the garden. I can't remember whether I planted these myself or whether they were there before, as there was a small border under the apple tree; the rest was all lawn. If I planted them it must have been before 1992 when the whole garden was turned over during building renovations, and went wild afterwards for quite some time.

I had an idea of what I wanted and tried four different cameras and macro lenses, two of which were prime lenses. I've put a more abstracted attempt in Extras, but I chose this one as it includes the stamens. I noticed that different lenses interpreted the colour of the flowers differently. I believe this has something to do with the ultraviolet light which the camera sees differently to us.

With thanks to BikerBear for Flower Friday.
