Black-tailed Godwit

I got the bus to Birsay and walked along to the hide at RSPB The Loons. At first, it seemed quiet with only mallards and greylag visible but eventually I saw little grebe, tufted duck, shovelers, gadwall, lapwings and curlews and a pair of black-tailed godwits, which breed there. This shot was against the light so I had to lighten it on the computer. I walked along to Marwick, then over the cliff path of Marwick Head to Birsay Palace. A wheatear at Marwick and either 2 or 4 more at Bay of Birsay, extra. Also shelduck, turnstones, purple sandpiper, ringed plover etc.
