Modern Renaissance!

We had to go into town yet again today as it was the last day for this exhibition and we'd heard it was well worth seeing. It was!
Once again we met up with sisters Karin and Ylva, and with Lonny. We were all impressed by these paintings, but the prices were a little beyond our means so we looked, took photographs, and remembered.
The artist, Per Elof Nilsson Ricklund, comes from Örnskoldsvik, about 100 km north of us. Until Covid came along he worked at the Florence Academy of Art, where he'd previously studied.  There is something really fascinating about these modern pictures, created in a renaissance style.
In my picture Karin is studying one of the pictures we all really liked.
My two favourite pictures of his are both featured at the start of this web page, about the artist.  He was born only 35 years ago, the same year we bought the house we live in, so he has moved fast in the art world!
After we'd seen the art we chatted a while outside the gallery and then went our seperate ways.
Tomorrow Karin is singing in the cathedral choir, and Lonny thinks he'll come in with her. He's recently been sick so he likes to stay flexible. We'll probably go in for the church service too.
It's strange how things work out. First you go months, only rarely seeing each, and then you meet up 3 days in a row!
