Where Do You Draw The Line

At least the wind keeps the water moving and it's clear as a bell, but being buffeted is no picnic. Two idioms in one sentence. In the shadow of an old tree stump leaning out over the water, I found some interesting shapes made by the waves.

The question, as always in this situation, how much dark and how much light to include in the frame. I went back and forth looking for a balance, which is not that easy because it's a moving target (there's another idiom). I couldn't really focus and the subject shifted around anyway.

I enjoyed the randomness and the search. I do like the translucence of the light area and the unusual green tint in this image.
