Clematis resurrected!

Two years ago, when Ivy was a puppy, she did her best to destroy our clematis by chewing endlessly on the trunk until we put some netting around it.  Then last spring we were amazed to see it coming back to life even if it was only the leaves.  This year it's covered in little buds and this is the first flower to open.  Isn't nature wonderful?!
