Quod oculus meus videt

Chasewater Sunrise

Another morning when I was up early enough to capture sunrise.  This is Chasewater, a reservoir used to supply the local Rushall Canal.  I was really surprised how high the water is; you might just notice the wooden edging of a path on the right disappearing under water.  This is despite only small amounts of rain in recent weeks.

For a sunrise I'd usually be using filters to control the light from the sky, but the high cloud did pretty much the same job and throughout the day the sun was mainly hazy because of the amount of cirrus cloud.  Another day in the garden completing the clipping and hedging of plants.  The green waste bin is now full to overflowing, having been emptied on Thursday and there are a number of bags to take down the tip when I have a chance.
