Fortezza della Brunella

Train ride to the last stop on line - Aulla. Station and town destroyed in WW2, the new town is not very interesting or pretty - except for the mountains in the distance. The only thing of interest was a hike up to a Medieval Fort, which was closed. We couldn’t even find a restaurant for lunch. The 2 hr train ride there and again back was comfortable and the scenery interesting and beautiful.
Wisteria grows wild everywhere…it’s blooming — flowers lovely and scent heavenly.
