Waiting

Today I had a hairdressing appointment and noticed this gentleman engrossed in his Herald. After a while I realised he wasn't waiting for a hair cut but was waiting for his wife. It was a fearful morning of driving rain and wind, and I can imagine he had decided to take her there and just read his paper till it was time to fetch the car round.

Behind is Bearsden Primary School - see front view in March 13 Blip - which is threatened with demolition. Therefore I thought this was a good picture to publish today to capture a snippet of life at Bearsden Cross (excuse the pun!). Roman Road is usually choc-a-bloc with cars and vans stopped at the lights and people passing, so it was good to have an unimpeded view out the window to the back of the school.
