CHAMP CAR

As mentioned before in this space, the Champ Cars were recently at Road America for the annual Spring session.

The Champ Car series used to be the Chump Car series but they got a bit pretentious over time, and when the original owners of the Champ Car logo gave it up, the Chumps jumped at the chance to enhance their image a little bit.

Pretentious though they may be, the Champs take their racing seriously and they do know how to have a good time. Exclusive of mandated safety equipment (fuel cell, roll bar, serious brakes, etc.), all Champ cars may not have an Average Internet Value (AIV) that exceeds $500 American.  The unit shown is a prime example of a vehicle that meets those parameters in spades.

Just for fun, I decided to make a poster of the image with a little Photoshop Magic. I rather like this rendition...cool, isn't it?

I was going to enter this in the Tiny Tuesday Challenge because as we all know, size is relative.......relative to the Rocky Mountains this auto is tiny indeed.  But that would upset the spirit of the challenge so I'll just post it as is and let it stand on its own merits.
