Palm Frond

My wife gets most of the credit for today's photo. She is the one who suggested I get off the computer and walk with her to the beach. And she is the one who insisted I take a photo of this palm frond on the path leading to Playa La Ropa. Once I got back on the computer, I realized how different, and interesting, this dead frond looked over shots of living ones. I love the tonal range on the stem and the coloring of the individual blades. Without my wife along, I would have walked by what turned out to be my selection today.
