A hundred years ago...

...the first fire engine arrived in Häme region, more exactly in Lielahti (then part of Ylöjärvi, now Tampere). The owner was the local voluntary fire brigade, but obviously the cellulose factory had a major role in this advanced development.

The fire engine is now in Vehoniemi car museum, where we visited for a quick round plus doughnuts and coffee, coming home from the regional farmers' union meeting.
