Baby moorhen!

Not a bad day at work - still relatively quiet, which I'm really appreciating.  I had a catch-up with a colleague this afternoon, then headed out for a walk around 5pm on a mission to spot the baby moorhens I'd heard were at the Hare and Billet pond.  Called my Mum on the way there and chatted to her until they appeared - and then disappeared again.  Thought I might have missed my chance, but then as we were getting ready to say goodbye, mummy moorhen led them all over to where I was standing and then left them there.  They were all over the place, but this one stayed even after all the others had disappeared again, and was very obliging, posing for me for ages.  Gave me a chance to get my settings right on my camera for once!
