Brodie-dendrons

Fortified by our cooked Premier Inn Breakfast (complete with calorie count), we made our way eastwards to visit another Brodies - this time a castle rather than a polar bear.

We enjoyed the guided tour (the Brodies weren't very good with money apparently) and exploring the grounds including the playful garden with its interactive exhibits aimed at children the young at heart.

Brodie Castle is renowned for its Daffodils but these were past their past. However given I'd only discovered this on Thursday I wasn't too disappointed. The rhododendrons which were in full bloom were lovely to see.

We stopped at the Sainsbury's Superstore at Nairn on the way home and did a *big* shop and then made our way back via Grantown on Spey.

Mini mini-break have much to recommend them.
