Per ardua ad astra

For reasons too dull to recount, I walk past this memorial every third Tuesday of the month. This is the RAF Bomber Command Memorial and it's in Green Park, London. I've snapped it several times but never really got a composition I liked as it's such a large and complex monument. I maybe still haven't succeeded but at least I gave it a proper go today - I may have to pack the UWA one of the days. Per ardua ad astra by the way, is the motto of the RAF and translates as something like 'Through adversity to the stars'. Apparently, such a memorial was delayed for decades due to controversy over the tactics employed by Bomber Command in the Second World War - you live and learn.
