Let there be light...

...when you need it. The layout of our flat is 'quirky' to say the least, with different rooms on slightly different levels, and after dark the two lights in the hallway need to be on when passing through. But more often than not  they're left on when they're not needed. In an attempt to save energy - and money - I ordered some motion-sensitive bulbs, which arrived this morning. They look a bit odd, but seem to do the job perfectly!

ION, not a good start to the day. Noticed an unexpected scab near my knee whilst in the shower. Once I'd put my glasses on, it became apparent that the 'scab' had legs. Aaargh - a tick!  MrM successfully used our tick-removal tool (acquired last year  from the veterinary department of the local chemist) to extract the little b******, which was duly squashed and disposed of.

Finally finished painting the woodwork at the end of the hall this afternoon. Hooray! Just a little touching up to do, but that can wait until another day, when the white paint is completely dry.
