Christmas in April

Our city has been beautified, in part by the work of the Hole family. There are more trees and wider green boulevards than is typical. Much of the city is natural parkland. The late Lois Hole wrote a book called "I'll Never Marry a Farmer". You guessed it - that's exactly what she did. Their family owns a world renowned greenhouse that specializes in quality and unique plants. As a gift, I received a Christmas cactus, shown in the above photo against the backdrop of my lingering poinsettia. This is the second time it has bloomed this year, once at Christmas and again now. With spring taking it's time, I do enjoy the indoor flowers!
