Bird of Paradise

If you were hoping for more extensive shots of Southern California, then I’m letting you down. There’s only so much sun, sand and surf that I can torture you with. And anyway, the light is very challenging when we’re out and the views of the Pacific dampened by having to take shots into the sun.

We had an unexpected time with Landon this morning as we were detailed to take him from his mum’s to his speech lesson and then on to daycare. I enjoyed swinging him with his dad and holding his hand as we walked.

After breakfast we drove to the ocean at Carlsbad for coffee and lunch and a long walk up and down the beach with the surf ringing in our ears and sea washing our feet. Thoroughly enjoyable.
