Mellow Yellow?

Not likely!

This wild Marsh Marigold with its intense yellow flowers has been gleaming at me from the roadside for the past week on my way to work.

The weather has been appallingly wet and, as you can tell from the name and the pic, they grow in wet places so I haven't been able to get close in the new shoes. When I tried some shots on a dry day the sun was not bright enough to do them justice.

This morning, rain again: this evening SUNSHINE! Great, not many chances were left as the flowers are getting past their best and going to seed.
