Shap Abbey (Coast to Coast #3)

Its so difficult to choose a Blip when you have 30 shots to choose from.
Today I :-
- had a before breakfast dip in Brothers Water
- examined the Dacre stone bears in St Andrews church
- bought marmalade at Dalemain
- Toured many standing stones , castles, halls, roman forts and henges just south of Penrith
- was given a lift in a buggy by Farmer George to save me from being trampled  by 150 cows coming back up a narrow lane for milking
- visited the area of the last battle on English soil and found The Rebel Tree where a number of Jacobites are buried
- got to Shap ( Abbey = Blip) two hours after Mr P who only walked 16 miles today  but 1500m of climb.and found him in our hotel room , quite rested.
- forgot to buy Mum a postcard
