The Cow[ pen.........

 Today was lovely. I decided to head out for a bike ride at Santos.   The bike trails were slow, so I decided to stop at the CowPen and get some pictures.    This structure is in the woods, right off a 45 degree, blind corner.  It's not a good place to stop when the trail is really busy with bikers.
      The coupon is a leftover when all the land here in Ocala was dedicated growing cattle and Thorghbred horses.  When the cattle were ready to send to market, the cowboys  would round them up and drive them into this cattle pen.  You can the ramp  that the cattle were then run up, into a  cattle truck and driven to auction or market.  The other photo has a sign recently placed there,  "Cow Pen".   The structure is still in pretty good shape considering it's age.      The forest has grown up all around.  It gives a  really old and aged looked to the place.
