Furry Friend

I rescued this bumble bee from a potential cat mauling session. It had landed on the patio and wasn't going anywhere. If our cat had seen it she would have played with it for a while and then eaten it I'm afraid.

So I popped it onto the Azalea shrub where it stayed for the rest of the day. 

After I'd finished in the garden I spent a while with the macro lens photographing it while it rested. It was a very obliging bee and just sat there with the occasional leg raise if I got too close.

I was impressed by the pink colour reflections on its face, from the flowers.
