Life through the lens...

Ewe bothered?

Well this ewe certainly didn’t seem at all bothered that one of her little ones was climbing on her back!
Spotted while out walking with the a Pudseys today.

Back to winter coats, gloves and scarves as it was quite cold when we set off on our walk from Leathley to Riffa Woods to see the bluebells.
They were looking beautiful. Probably at their best, but unfortunately it was very dull with no sunshine. So not good for photographs.
( see extra)

However 18 of us had a very enjoyable 6 mile walk through the woods to Stainburn, Lindley, and back to Leathley. Finishing off with tea and cakes at the cafe nearby.

Spring is really here, with the lush green grass, many trees now in leaf, lambs in the meadows, and such a variety of wild flowers everywhere. Not to mention the numerous and varied bird song.

It was certainly a walk with a variation of stiles.
Mr C took the extra photos of yours truly ungracefully climbing over a very difficult wall.
Not too high on one side, but a steep drop down on the other. ( see extra collage to make you laugh!)

Oh and did you know that the Paris Bluebell Girls were so named because their founder, Margaret Kelly, was nicknamed ‘ Bluebell’ as a girl because her striking blue eyes were compared to bluebells.
No, I thought you didn’t!
