THE BIG BIRTHDAY RUN

Well, it almost went to plan and certainly was a most enjoyable day. I stopped here in Glen Ogle to just take in the views. The Glen Ogle viaduct is just behind the bike and this is where the old steam trains used to puff their way up the hill. It has since been converted to a cycle path. I had lunch at The Green Welly as planned but unfortunately didn't get the hat I was after. They were either too big or too small. However, I settled for a bottle of Kilchoman Machir Bay single malt instead. I've been so busy editing pictures, I haven't opened the bottle yet! The rest of the trip went more or less to plan and I got home around 5pm!
