Limekilns

A free day today so to make the most of it we set off early-ish and made for Limekilns. It isn't seaside by any means but it's a lot further downstream on the Forth than Stirling. When we arrived the temperature was 8° and the tide couldn't have been further out. When we left it was heading for full tide and the temperature was 18°.

In between times we had coffee and a snack, a walk along the Fife Coastal Path to Rosyth and back, lunch and a walk westwards to Charlestown. At both coffee and lunch Flora had something from the four legged friends' menu - first a dentastik and then peanut butter toast. I ask you.

I couldn't decide between the main (low tide and cool) or the extra (high tide and warm) but on the basis of the bridges behind the beached 'Islander' I went for the former. You can never see too many Forth Bridges.

Home now and it is very warm in the garden. A few seedings have been parched in the potting shed. Oops. I must attend to them.

Wishing you a good weekend.
