Roots: The vintage oak tree

This is my favourite oak tree in the world ever. I discovered it during the lockdown two years ago. It faces what was once part of a golf course, now designated as a 'practice area.' It had the smart idea early on to locate itself right next to what we call a burn. (Or brook.) The burn is now dried up but the tree cares not a jot.  I like it's attitude. Look at those roots!
