Small village, large church

Today we travelled to Wingfield, just within the Suffolk border with Norfolk.  The EAF (East Anglian Federation of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain) was holding its Annual Exhibition there - the first time for three years because of the Covid pandemic.  As usual the standard of images on display was very high, although there were fewer images than in previous years:  the entries were reduced, probably because people have taken fewer photographs during the pandemic.  However, a good crowd turned up for the opening day.  I had a few images accepted.

While we were in the village, we visited the church.  The village is very small - a church, a pub and very few houses that we could see.  The church, however, is extremely large and I cannot see how it would ever be filled, particularly as there must be a dozen other churches in other villages within a couple of kilometres.  It was a grand building (with a full graveyard next to it). It all looked lovely in today's sunshine.
