Even fairly early in the day before butterflies have had much chance to warm up the Orange Tips are usually still too flighty and seldom settle long enough for a photo.  However a male sat long enough for a photo showing its orange tip and speckled underwing before it flew away to pursue a female. On the nearby derelict site there are masses of garlic mustard plants so it should be easy to find Orange Tip butterflies which love the plant but whether the ensuing caterpillars will survive any redevelopment of that particular area is still to be seen.  Fortunately there are still many other suitable habitats a very short distance away.

The last five blips have all been taken in a "wild" area which is likely to be changed shortly when houses are built.
