We pottered around at home this morning attending to a few tasks, then mid-afternoon we headed out to pick up the open home signs. After we’d gathered up the last two, we parked the car and went for a coffee. 

Alongside where we parked the car was a decorated street electricity box, so I thought it would make a good blip for today - the front and the two ends.  Please excuse the graffiti on one end, but I really liked the caterpillar.


There are 5,656 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 7,414, compared to 8,435 last Sunday. The number of people in hospital is 466, including 16 in ICU. Another 6 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 750. New Zealand also recorded its first case of the BA.4 variant of Omicron at the border.
