Levens Hall

A day to admire the trimming skills of gardeners today at Levens Hall.  It really was impressive and we enjoyed wandering around the garden in all its glory.  Interestingly, the tulips at Levens Hall are much closer to going over than the ones at Holker Hall.  I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that Holker Hall has it's Spring Festival this weekend coming up.

The House at Levens Hall was also interesting in that it is still lived in and the four posters in the bedrooms had electric blankets on them for guests. I think I might prefer the Premier Inn down the road...  I found the leather wall coverings the most interesting feature of the house.  I have never seen anything like that before.
