How many fingers?

I arrived at school to a conversation between a member of breakfast club staff and a child about how many fingers a frog has 'Perhaps Mrs F knows the answer' I know they are not really fingers but it was an interesting question ' I think it's four on each leg how many do you think?' the child replied 'I think it's three' the site manager then came along and he was asked as well agreed with the child and another couple agreed with me 'I know I'll go and have a look in the Frog and Toad reading scheme book we have and I'll let you know' I went upstairs and looked in the book 'It's four' I called down.
