... Mowed the lawn this morning, it looks fab. 

Had a call from the estate agent this morning. The bungalow we wanted to view has sold, two down... 

Had a letter from the council this morning, our immediate neighbour has submitted an application for a two storey extension up to our shared border.

Ain't gonna happen...


Had a good afternoon walking with our friend R, who I have spoken about before. Quite recently widowed, he was very hospitable and welcoming.

We had coffee before walking around his estate! Ha, he has a tied cottage on a large estate in Shropshire, and has been allowed to stay even though he is now a sole occupant.

My picture is one of the many farm workers cottages now rented out to private tenants. It is a delectable place.. 

He lives in a house, a very nice house, in the country...
