Scrub Warbler

I'm delighted that the whitethroats have finally arrived at Fishers Green. When I got out of the car there this afternoon the scrubby area around the car park was ringing with the scratchy song of quite a few individuals. In previous years they have been more visible, choosing exposed positions to sing from. They all seemed to be skulking today. I eventually managed the above shot of one in a crab apple.
