Freedom day

On May 5th we celebrate the fact that we live in freedom. Unfortunately it is not a national holiday so I had to be at work.

I don't go to the festivals, so that doesn't matter. There are musical festivals spread out over the country. Every year some appointed freedom ambassadors, singers and performers, travel by helicopter from festival to festival. This year at 5 minutes to 5 on all 14 stages someone from the Ukraine made some sort of speech or statement. Celebrating our freedom feels more important than ever.

In the evening I watched the yearly freedom concert at TV, live from the canals of Amsterdam, in attendance of our King and Queen.
