Busy day

Finally had my chronic disease management appointment today.  Late leaving, so thought I could get the little Jet bus to the next village. Of course, because I was late it wasn’t the one which came up the hill at that time!  I set off to walk at a pace! Halfway over the hill 2 dog walkers stopped me and asked if I knew how to deliver lambs?! A ewe was wandering round with a lamb half out.  It looked fine, and the head was out and the lamb didn’t look in distress. They asked if “someone should pull it out”?!  I said nature was obviously taking its course, and to leave it be. They were still concerned, but I had seen the farmer earlier doing his rounds and he was on the way back up to that area, so I told them to have a word with him. So then I had to rush like mad, and I dashed into the surgery spot on the time of my appointment.  The booking in screen was off and the lady queuing in front of me wanted her old vaccination details printing off which apparently was not working.  She then said - “While I’m here could you print them off for the other 3 members of my family as well?” - aaargh!!  Luckily the receptionist reset the booking in screen so that I could login, and of course because I had rushed the nurse was running late anyway! I told her to wait a while before taking my pulse and blood pressure! The nurse specialist is lovely and apologised for the cancellations I had had. Turns out the poor lass had been through breast cancer and had only just returned to work, and as other nurses had also been off sick things had got way behind. Battery of bloods etc done, and certain ongoing issues discussed and then I was free to go.  Wandered across to Spoons Teashop for a coffee whilst I waited for my grandson whom I was meeting for lunch. Lunch done and the world set to rights we had a look around the antiques centre next door which is where I spotted the sign in my blip.  F spotted a chair and a beautiful globe, which he wanted for his flat. His dad has converted part of the mill attached to their house into an apartment and now F is 18 he is moving into there until he leaves home. We zoomed round to have a look and it is compact, but beautifully kitted out. Lucky lad!  Teatime drinks with friends to end the day.  :-)
