Bus Pass Walk

Just 3 bus Pass walkers today.  Woke up to rain and a chilly breeze, but by the time we got to our starting point it was fine, and was sheltered and mild in the woodlands - too warm with the extra layers I had out on!  Lots of wild garlic flowering now and very pungent.  Lots of bluebells which seem to be looking much healthier now.  Main image is of the weir near Hirst Wood / Saltaire - lots of water today and very noisy after the recent rain.  Saw ducks, geese, goosanders,  swift’s, and fleeting glimpses of a flash of blue and orange as a kingfisher shot up and down.  More of the walk in extras - the canal, the river, bluebells, wild garlic and the open spaces in Hirst Wood.  Lovely walk, and back by lunchtime!  :-)
