Deer Bolts Wood Bluebells

Our final day in the Lakes.  I was up and walking around Grasmere early as the weather forecast was for rain coming in from the west.  Despite a slight breeze the water in the lake was smooth, save for the ripples caused by various geese and ducks on the water.  I took plenty of shots of the surrounding mountains, but in the end I enjoyed time in the woods where the bluebells are in the best of colour.

Had a wonderful few days away, great to catch up with John and Deb Gravett (though our proposed walk was cancelled due to Deb's intercostal muscles damage).  I even saw a red squirrel on the final morning taking advantage of a feeder at someone's house on the way up to Red Bank.

By the time we left it had started to drizzle so we headed home via the Lakeland Store.
