Penguin Droppings

Doppelganger

The other Little Brown Job I blipped 3 days ago on the 3rd May.

This LBJ is in fact a willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus).
It closely resembles other warblers, particularly the chiffchaff, but fortunately it has a very distinctive song and was vocally active at this time so I can reliably identify it as a willow warbler.

Observant blippers will notice that it is not in a willow tree.
Maybe it had a date lined up for tonight and needed to get spruced up?
. . . but it is not a spruce tree either but I couldn't think of a pun for larch.
