The Climax to the Stromness Holiday 2022

The blip says it all.I missed a step on the stairway from the ferry to the ground and fell with my heavy rucksack on my back and my right leg pinioned under me. Fortunately daughter 2 had driven up to Aberdeen to meet me and was able to take me and my poorly ankle to A&E at Aberdeen Royal infirmary where they Xrayed it and found I had broken it in two places. They put it in a cast in order to allow her to drive me home. I will need an op within a day or two to pin it. Then it will be 6 weeks of no weight bearing on that leg. It never rains but it pours…. But looking on the bright side it was at the end of my holiday not at the beginning praise be!
