Bonnyrigg

After a long and slightly damp walk with Django, I did a little work before heading off to Bonnyrigg with my mate and near neighbour W. There was a queue to get into New Dundas Park for the biggest game in Bonnyrigg Rose's history. Although there were only 2202 people in the ground, it felt pretty packed and the atmosphere was great. Since we were only standing on a slight bank, we hardly saw the first two Bonnyrigg goals or the red card for Cowdenbeath. However, the slope of the pitch enhanced our view of the action at our end, so we were well placed to see the third goal go in after 74 minutes. A header by the smallest man on the pitch, who celebrated just in front of us! Hopefully a 3-0 first leg advantage will see Bonnyrigg Rose move up to Scottish League 2 as Midlothian's only representatives in the four main Scottish leagues.
