Chance and Counters

A great day in Birmingham. First we had tickets for the Sistine Chapel exhibition . Giant life size panels of all the pieces with an audio commentary about each one ; the religious background , the symbolism and the art.
Close up really made you appreciate the artistic genius and realism of Michelangelo . I decided not to blip a photo of a painting however.

We also found a board game cafe in the custard factory so spent a couple of good hours there, playing 3 new to us games ( Blokus, Patchwork and Jaipur) with the great name of the blip title! This picture shows the shelves; over 500 games apparently; drinks good beer and really excellent staff. What’s not to like! We’ll definitely go back.

We then walked across the city and along the canal to the Roundhouse , stables and buildings used in the 1870s for a look. Lovely day.
