Early Morning Display….

Maisie and I were out walking at 6.am. We headed for the Taylor River Reserve and tracks. Our timing was pretty well right as the lineup of planets could be seen in the lightening dawn sky in the northeast…. Saturn, Mars, Venus and Jupiter…. We looked in vain for all four planets but could see only three. At first Venus was absent…. Until an obscuring cloud moved away. Alas we saw no meteor showers. My head lamp illuminated the surroundings and my iPhone performed well. Tonight is expected to be cloudy with rain on the way. So I am very glad I saw the planets.
