Ohh, deer

Spotting this young deer was the highlight of my walk around Malleny Garden Estate this afternoon.

I very nearly missed it as was walking in the other direction, but something made me glance its way. Despite leaving it plenty of space, it was a bit spooked on seeing me and kept looking unsuccessfully for an opening through the hedge to escape before deciding to make a run for it right past me!
