The Chase

After yesterdays exciting day a relaxed morning where I took advantage of the lovely weather and took a walk into town to take a few shots of the Lincoln Grand-Prix road cycle race . The women's race was in the morning with the Men's road race in the afternoon.  This shot was taken on the final lap with the chasing pack catching up on the leader on the lap before she had a lead of around   50 seconds as you can see they had basically pulled that back. I have tried to find out if she hung on but have not been able to find the results as yet . For any one that's interested more shots are available to view on Flickr including a couple of better shots but this one tells a story.
Back home for a snack for lunch and then a trip over to Retford to visit Jeri and the family for the 1st time in a few weeks.
Back home now relaxing ready for a return to work in the morning after an enjoyable week off .
