Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Island Life (#6)

I always look for these calypso orchids in April but was delighted to find a few still in bloom nestled in the woods today.   (actually H found them…and knew I’d be happy. )  There aren’t many.  They are little more than an inch long, about 6 inches from the ground.  Exquisite among all sorts of tiny wildflowers out now.

Happy Mother’s Day!  Lovely sunny day.  Didn’t see another person today…heard from the kids, had a very fresh egg scramble, and made some plans for the week.    We actually MAY just see some long wanted workers here this week…we’ll see if that actually happens.  “Island time” is still a mystery to us city dwellers .
