Three Amigos

Our pal Cathal is over from the UK for a few days leading up to his mum's 80th. We met him this evening in Gleeson's in Booterstown for 'a few'.

We'd originally arranged to meet in the Merrion Inn but decided it would be too busy with rugby types drowning Munster sorrows after losing on penalties to Toulouse. We did our best to persuade the visitor to catch the last DART but he insisted on hanging on for a taxi. We earned the next day that he had to walk to Vincent's Hospital before a taxi driver would agree to take him to Malahide. Going to town would have been okay, but Malahide was too much of an ask for the rest.

The lord alone knows how much the fare would be. Lots more than in Portugal anyway, that's for sure.

Carl practised his domestic skills before we caught our taxi to Gleeson's. Very commendable.
