Job done at last

The roof chaps arrived this morning to reattach the sheet of lead on the side of the chimney, which shifted many weeks ago in a storm. We were beginning to lose hope of getting the job done, but it wasn’t as complex as we were led to believe.

The picture is curtesy of B as I left to go to a sewing meeting shortly after they arrived. They had finished in time for B to go to table tennis in the village hall at 2pm. I didn’t get home until 2.45. I walked Amber up to meet B at 4pm. So very much of a one in, one out, keep moving day.

We arrived at the hall to be met by one of the members looking for the ambulance!!! One of the gentlemen had fallen and was lying on the floor. He had been there for two hours already!!!  

This is the second time that this has happened to this poor old soul,  he had surgery after the previous fall. Hope that he hasn’t done too much damage this time.
