Himself has been my superstar today as he had the patience to battle with BA over yet another messed up holiday. If we didn't have a backlog of refunds to claim I'd have binned them a long time ago. They cancelled the outward leg of of our holiday to Portugal without giving an alternative last week, leaving us with a hotel booking and a return flight. Needless to say they weren't answering their phone lines, haven't responded to Twitter and you can't email them. In the end J played their system and contacted them on the wrong number so they could then redirect him. It worked (after an hour!) and we now have an alternative flight. Admittedly it's from Heathrow (minimum 90min travel time) not Gatwick ( max 30 min) but it was that or lose a day of the holiday. They are the most awful company to deal with at the moment.

Hopefully nothing else will go wrong, this is a trip first booked for Dec 2020, cancelled by Covid, rebooked somewhere else in Sept 2021, cancelled because the hotel was shut and now rebooked to a third destination for next month. I guess I'd better pay for it soon.

Sausages for tea. We eat a lot of sausages. The butcher has amazing ones.
