Bringing It

The boys of Summer, game 4.

Merrick played catcher tonight for the first two innings. Since the pitchers throw a LOT of wild pitches, he was kept busy running between home plate and the backstop. And, as he is retrieving the ball, the other team's base runners are stealing bases. Very frustrating.

He did get to pitch the last inning. After a strikeout and two walks, the batter hit a ball right back at him. He caught it, then threw to first to complete a double play. Game over, with our team winning 12-8.

Merrick got the game ball from the coaches. WOO-HOO!
