Seven Goslings

In Spring, you have a lot of signs,
like this...a swimming family of nine.
Dad is looking for turtles,
which is one of their hurdles,
and then they are going to dine.

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it, but turtles take a lot of goslings and ducklings. I've even witnessed a snapping turtle take down a full-sized duck.

Always good to see the little ones show up.
